Join us for St. George’s Day festivities in support of charity on Saturday, April 22rd at 6:30 PM at the Granite Brewery and Restaurant, 245 Eglinton Avenue East, Toronto.  Celebrate all things English with co-hosts Maz Brereton and Robert Hughey and guest speaker Nick Pashley. Door prizes, silent auction, plus a live auction with auctioneer Julian Mulock.

In honour of the 150th Birthday of Canada join Nick at the podium and bring your ‘England to Canada’ story, in words, song, pictures or mementos. The event features a delicious four course gourmet dinner with four matching fresh Ontario cask ales.

Have a Staycation at Black Oak

On Saturday February 4th 2017, Black Oak will be holding a “staycation” festival at their brewery, featuring three cask conditioned ales along with their new Black Mojito Saison “Snowbird”, and a vertical tasting option of their Triple Chocolate Cherry Stout on tap.

Lansdowne Cask Fest – Sat Dec 3rd

Lansdowne Brewery will be holding their second Cask Fest on Saturday December 3rd 2016 from 1 to 6pm. There will be another 11 or so cask beers available. Tickets will be available at the door for $10 which includes a glass and 2 beer tickets. Beer samples will be available in 5 oz pours (1 ticket) or 10 oz pours (2 tickets).
Lansdowne Brewery is located at 303 Lansdowne Ave, Toronto, reachable by TTC via either the 505 Dundas or 506 Carlton TTC streetcars.

Black Oak Cask Event – Nov 12th

We hope you can join fellow cask ale enthusiasts at Black Oak Brewery on Saturday November 12th 3:00 – 8:00 pm for a great cask event featuring five local cask beers including Great Lakes, Big Rock, Cheshire Valley and of course Black Oak. Tasty local food is being served up by Appalachia Smokehouse and The Tartistry. Admission is only $10 in advance or $15 at the door and includes 3 drink tickets! Black Oak Brewery is located at 75 Horner Ave, Unit 1, Toronto. It is reachable by TTC via the #110 bus from Islington subway station to Judson/Horner just around the corner from the bewery. Also the #15 bus runs from Royal York subway station to Evans/Horner which is a 6 minute walk to the brewery. No admission charge if you are unfortunate enough to be the designated driver and will not be drinking.

Durham Region Cask Fest – Oct 15 2016

The Tap and Tankard will host a Cask Fest on Saturday October 15th  featuring cask ales from Durham region and Toronto. This is a one day only event on Saturday starting at 2pm and going until 6pm. At the last count, it looks like there will be at least 9 different cask ales available. Admission is $25 which includes 5 samples plus food.

The Tap and Tankard is located at 224 Brock St S, Whitby, ON.

Cask Socials and Events for Beer Week

The seventh annual Toronto Beer Week kicked off yesterday and with around 30 of the participating bars offering cask ale, TBW 2016 promises to be a great week for cask ale enthusiasts.

Today, Sep 17th, we are hosting our Cask! Social at Rainhard Brewery, 100 Symes Rd, Toronto, from 3:00 – 6:00pm. Hope to see you there. Around 5 cask beers will be available.

Also today, C’est What’s Fall Festival of Craft Breweries continues for it’s second day. Around 14 cask beers are available.

The TBW Danforth Pub Crawl also kicks off today from 1pm until late, and with several cask pubs along the route offering cask ale,  it should be a tasty crawl.

And next Sunday, Sep 25th, will be The Granite Cask BBQ and Social, an annual tradition for may Cask! Socialites. Granite Brewery, 245 Eglinton Ave East, Toronto. Further details to follow.
